B. Best - Untitled

€150.00
Sold Out

One of the best Kwaito releases on the favorite Phat Kat label.

Launched by Static P and DJ Christos in Johannesburg in 1994, Phat Kat quickly became one of the solidifying labels that helped kick off the newly changing sound of Kwaito.

Pulling away from the import house covers and dubbed out interpretations that dominated the genre’s earlier part of the decade, Phat Kat were pioneer in adopting the ‘group rap’ and hip-hop sound which would later become the dominant style of the genre bringing it commercial success.

B Best is one of their earlier releases that still held true to the house-centric productions. This entire album is jam packed with classic Kwaito House both uptempo and slow.

*Ultrasonically cleaned. B4 is scratched and has several skips.
